Wollaton Hall & Deer Park – Elizabethan Mansion in the Heart of Nottingham [Photos]

Today I went for a walk around Wollaton Park in Nottingham and although the weather was a little bleak during the day, I still managed to enjoy myself among the trees, lakes, historic buildings and wildlife.

For many years, I have visited this wonderful picturesque location as a youngster and as an adult and my fascination for Wollaton Hall and its surrounding grounds persists to this day.

Wollaton Hall and Deer Park is a spectacular Elizabethan mansion and park set in the heart of Nottingham. There’s plenty to do on your visit, take a look around the Natural History Museum, go behind the scenes with a tour of ‘hidden Wollaton’, stretch your legs with a stroll around the park and gardens or enjoy a delicious drink in the cafe.
