Microsoft has finally released the full non-beta version of Windows Media Player 11.
This is going to be very handy for Xbox 360 users as with the new Fall ’06 Update that should be released later today over Xbox Live, you will be able to stream via Windows Media Connect, Windows Media Video (*.wmv) files to your console just like you can already music and pictures. Streaming video is something Xbox 360 owners have been shouting about for months, so well done Microsoft for making it possible…
Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP offers great new ways to store and enjoy all your digital media. It’s easier than ever to access all of your music, videos, pictures, and recorded TV on your computer. Play it, view it, organize it, or sync it to a portable device for enjoying on the go, or share with devices around your home—all from one place.
Windows Media Player 11 is designed to work with all versions of Windows XP with Service Pack 2, including Windows XP Home Edition N and Windows XP Professional N.
The player does seem a lot nicer to use than the previous version, although going to have to get used to that new black look. Roll on Microsoft Vista!
The only problem when connecting to a 360 is it will only play WMP files so anything you download from the net pretty much wont play. Whats the point?
