Train Simulator 2012 Service Pack 1 Announced – Two Routes with Significantly Improved Graphics


RailSimulator.com have announced that their successful rail simulator software ‘Train Simulator 2012 – RailWorks 3’ is to receive a service pack to upgrade the capabilities of the program and its efficiency.

On June 19th, 2012 – users of the software will receive a totally free update weighing in at 2GB, which will improve the core software, core routes and the software’s efficiency while also laying the foundations for other developments…

On June 19th 2012, we are planning a major piece of software maintenance on Train Simulator 2012 (“TS2012”). This housekeeping process will bring an array of long-term benefits to the TS2012 software. The Cajon Pass and Oxford-Paddington routes will have significantly improved graphics.

The component files that make up TS2012 will be reorganized allowing us to continue improving the core software, core routes and the software’s efficiency. In addition, Service Pack 1 will lay the footings for prospective new features like Steam Workshop. Keep an eye on Facebook to find out what’s going on.

Also mentioned are later upgrades to Hagen Siegen, Bath Templecombe, Newcastle-York and “more exciting announcements” that they have yet to reveal. These tantalising updates have currently no set release date.
