ScummVM 1.5.0 ‘Picnic Basket’ Released – 11 Point and Click Adventures Added

Today sees the release of ScummVM version 1.5.0, which includes a large selection of new titles that are now supported within the software.

ScummVM is a wonderful free piece of software that allows you to play classic point and click adventures on various devices and platforms – even on ones they were never originally intended.

On the ScummVM website, the news post announcing the release was written by yours truly, so I hope you enjoy it:

Little Red Riding Hood looking over at her grandmother’s latest install of ScummVM, noting the update to version 1.5.0 asked “My what a lot of games you now support”. “All the better to entertain you with my dear!” responded the curiously grinning relative.

We all love to feast on the most sumptuous of gaming titles and our latest release will fulfil your craving for even more classic point and click adventures.

New games supported include:

  • Backyard Baseball 2003
  • Blue Force
  • Darby the Dragon
  • Dreamweb
  • Geisha
  • Gregory and the Hot Air Balloon
  • Magic Tales: Liam Finds a Story
  • Once Upon A Time: Little Red Riding Hood
  • Sleeping Cub’s Test of Courage
  • Soltys
  • The Princess and the Crab

Enhanced soundtracks for a few of the ScummVM compatible titles including Beneath A Steel Sky, Discworld, Inherit the Earth and Simon the Sorcerer can be found by visiting my ScummVM Music Enhancement Project page.
