I am loving Rainbow Six Vegas especially online and now we already have a patch to fix some of the little problems we were experiencing. Congratulations to the developers for getting this out so quick as I was very disappointed with the time it took for the Far Cry Instincts: Predator update!
Best changes are ‘Fixed a disconnection bug when host changes map’ and ‘Fixed bug regarding voice chat – Now voice chat works for all players’…
Single Player
- Fixed bugs with voice recognition
- Fixed a bug that made the game crash when killing Dr. Smythe under a specific circumstance.
Multiplayer
- Getting stuck at briefing screen when joining a match in progress
- Fixed a coop crash when failing a mission numerous times
- Fixed an exploit where observers received same kills as host in terrorist hunt
- Fixed a intermittent coop crash in map Factory
- Fixed a disconnection bug when host changes map
- Fixed a bug with live camera that forced a reboot.

- Fixed a crash when clientnt selects Option/ Map name either in the lobby or In game
- Fixed a bug related to the infiltration specialist achievement
- Fixed a bug where when score limit is 10 a game does not end when canister is deposited
- Fixed a bug in splitscreen:Crash when player 2 Press ready before player 1 in the login profile menu
- Fixed a bug where game occasionally crashes on boot at the Title Screen.

I have been playing this every day since I got it pretty much!
Is it possible to download the patch w/o xbox live? I have satelite internet… which means no live at all. :(( Could I just burn it to a disc or something?

As far as I am aware you require an Internet connection that can use Xbox Live. Have you got a friend who you can take the console to maybe who has a better connection?

how do these patches work are they automatically updates when you enter multiplayer or do you have to download them and also could some one please tell me how i invite one of my friends to a ranked match i have set up it doesnt seem to let me but it will in player match
In Ranked games you can not send invites to prevent people (or at least try to) cheesing the system (cheating).
Patches will be installed when you are connected to Xbox Live on your Xbox 360 and you load up the game. This usually happens just as the introduction begins.

Depends on the game, but it is possible to search for the same lobby your friend is in as long as they tell you who the host is. Ranked games are meant though to be with people you don’t know and there is nothing wrong with player matches. I do hate the fact though that some games have achievements in ranked games.

just start a player match and edit the settings to ranked match!
hey i have a problem. for some reason this game wont work on my xbox 360. It says the disk is unreadable and i tried cleaning it but it still wont work. so next i tried clearing my cache but that didn’t work so im stuck =(
This question is regardng the xbox 360 version and not eh pc version. I wanted to know how to host 16 player games. Whenever I try to create a match the max number of player that I am alowed to select is 14, regardless of what map or game type I select. I read on another website that you have to become a dedicated server and that doing so 16 people will join your game and that you being the 17th person would not play because you are the dedicated server. Does this apply to the 360 version of the game? If so how do I do this? Or is this something that is broken like on so many other UbiSoft games?
