Sleep Timer
The Sleep Timer stops playback automatically after a set time, so you can drift off to a favourite track without leaving the music running all night.
- Start one from Playback → Sleep Timer, then pick a preset duration (5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes) or choose Custom... to set your own.
How it works#
- The timer counts down quietly in the background. The menu shows the time remaining while it runs.
- About a minute before it ends, a gentle prompt asks whether you want to keep listening. You can continue (which cancels the timer) or let it finish.
- When the timer ends, playback stops and all notes are silenced.
Good to know#
- The timer only runs when you start one, and it does not carry over to the next time you launch the app, so it will never catch you out unexpectedly.
- You can change the duration or cancel at any time from the same menu or the prompt.
Start it automatically#
In Settings → Playback you can set a default duration and turn on Auto-Start on Play, so the sleep timer begins every time you press play.
