Menu Reference

A quick tour of what lives under each top-level menu, so you know where to reach when you need it.

File#

Open (⌘O): open a MIDI file, adding it to the playlist and playing it.
File Info (⌘I): open File Info for the track that is playing.
Add to Playlist (⌘⇧O): add files to the playlist.
Open Recent: recently opened files.
Import Playlist (⌘⇧I) and Recent Playlists: load a saved playlist.
Export Playlist (⌘⇧E): save the current playlist.
Recent SoundFonts: reload a SoundFont you have used recently on the built-in synth. See MIDI Output & Devices.
Bounce Audio: render to a WAV file (built-in synth). See Bounce to Audio.

Visualiser: Piano Roll (⌘1), Meter Bars (⌘B), Show Keyboards (⌘K), and the Multi-colour Piano Roll toggle. See The Visualiser.
Show / Hide Playlist (⌘2).
Enter / Exit Mini Player (⌘⇧M). See Mini Player.
Show Speaker Visualiser (⌘⇧V). See Speaker Visualiser.
Show Compact Player (⌘8). See Compact Player.
Presentation View: Show Presentation View (⌘9), plus the Meter Bars / Piano Roll right-pane choice. See Presentation View.
Zoom In / Out / Reset (⌘+, ⌘-, ⌘0).
Window openers: Mixer (⌘6), Part Inspector, Show Lyrics (⌘L), Tempo Graph, SoundFont Instruments, XF Sections, XF Chords, Performance Mode (⌘4), SysEx Monitor (⌘3), PXR Log (⌘5).

MIDI Panic (⌘⇧.): silence all notes immediately.
Resets: GM, GS, XG, and MT-32 reset commands.
Modes: XG Basic (⌃B), XG Native (⌃N), and SC-55 Map for GM (a toggle).
Rescan MIDI Devices: look for your MIDI devices again and reconnect to the one you have chosen. Use it if a device has gone quiet after being switched off and on again. See My MIDI device has gone quiet.
PLG-DX Bank Loader: load a DX cartridge. See PLG Daughterboards.
