Introducing… Wii. As in “we.” While the code-name “Revolution” expressed our direction, Wii represents the answer. Wii will break down that wall that separates video game players from everybody else.
Wii will put people more in touch with their games … and each other. But you’re probably asking: What does the name mean? Wii sounds like “we,” which emphasizes this console is for everyone.
I don’t know, I thought Nintendo Revolution was a great name, but Nintendo Wii? Wii will have to see!

When i first heard about nintendo’s new console i was quite excited, it really sounded like something special. Then i heard the specs and the shocking lack of High definition support. Finally we hear that they have chosen to call it Wii ( pronounced wee ). What on earth are they thinking, the heads of nintendo have been eating too many mushrooms pretending to be Mario and are on some horrible bad trip. They have gone mad, i’m ranting now but i can’t help it, i loved nintendo but now i want them taken away and put in a looney house! You know what they would scream as they were taken away? Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!! I diots:((
So far 90% of people seem to be saying it is quite odd to say the least, however we thought the ‘360’ in Xbox 360 was weird at first, although Wii is pushing it a lot further!!!!

thing is Nintendo are getting more publicity than they could of ever imagined… right before E3 too… hmmmm
its going to be a cheap console but i didnt know they would go that far with a cheap name lol:-?
