I have always enjoyed taking around my digital camcorder and recording footage, which I can later edit and save.
This started when I had the Matrox Mystique with the Rainbow Runner Add on card (yes this is going back some!), where the thrills of video editing first appeared in my life.
Recently though I invested in a Canon PowerShot A560, which really is a powerful yet quite neat digital camera that has the ‘Macro‘ feature where you can hold your camera really close to an object and take an incredibly detailed image.
Above are three photos I captured while on holiday in Plymouth (UK) and although the weather was a bit on the random side, I did find time to take a few snaps of some of the local wildlife and landscapes. I really love the Macro feature, just look at the last photo how I managed to capture Ants going about their business. Fantastic!
It just shows you how a beginner can delight in a few nice shots to share and more importantly literally capture the imagination and bring back some wonderful memories of a day out. This is the best thing about technology. No longer do we need to spend literally thousands of pounds on equipment to get pleasing results and with the help of the Internet, we can also share our enthusiasm.
