A man who threw a mouse onto his bonfire suffered a dramatic revenge attack by the rodent.
The little creature escaped the fire, ran inside the man’s house with its fur blazing, and set the property alight. New Mexico resident Luciano Mares watched as his house was completely destroyed. The 81-year-old had seen the mouse in his home and wanted to get rid of it.
The dry conditions in the region caused the flames to spread quickly through the house and an adjacent yard. The mouse has not been seen since the incident, but Mr Mares is now staying in a nearby motel.
