Hand written notes appearing on sticky labels have been as much a part of the office as the humble paperclip.

One major flaw is that often they lose their grip from their placement – usually on a computer monitor and drop off – eventually appearing below printouts days after they were meant to be acted upon.

Evernote remedies that often disastrous event of missing notes by accumulating them all in one place, organised and full of rich multimedia content.

Notes can be stacked together and each note can contain text, images, a location and even a voice recording. Notes can also be shared via email.

The main advantage for me though has to be the ability to search all of your virtual notes and have a result in seconds. You certainly would be wasting a lot of time sifting through a collection of tiny bits of paper, so the digital route is most welcome.

Evernote is available on a wide selection of platforms and not just mobile variants but full blown computer operating systems as well.

The result is a constant connection with your thoughts, ideas and reminders – no matter whether you are within the office, at home or outdoors.
