With any portable device, over time you will amass a collection of contacts, photos and other information that at least in part you will wish to share with other phone users.

Sharing this data typically is sent and received over email or text messages with multimedia elements. Bump cuts out a lot of the hassle and even better it works on multiple platforms.

That Syncing Feeling

Whenever I upgrade to a new phone, I always create a contact listing of myself. No I am not a forgetful person to the point where I have problems remembering my personal details. This saved information can be used for sharing with family, friends and business colleagues and can even include a little photo that I have personally handpicked, not an edited one a cheeky teenager has edited giving me a triple chin!

This can be shared in a couple of ways; however the Bump app offers a far more straightforward route.

With Bump installed and running on each device, you simply as the name suggests, bump your hands together with your phone wrapped tightly within – with the person you wish to send the information to. Timing is crucial and on a successful bump, both phones will confirm you wish to connect with this individual to allow the sharing to begin.?

Reaching Out

Bump is not just limited to passing on contact details. Exchanging photos, calendar events and even social networking profiles are all available.

In a world where websites such as Facebook, Twitter and Linked In feature prominently in the online universe, Bump also offers these details – so you can instantly become part of a potentially lucrative relationship be it business or pleasure.

Cross-Platform

Phone users are becoming just as loyal to their brand as gamers are to theirs. The friendly rivalries and banter over who owns the superior device rages on and with such a competitive market.

There are no guarantees that all of your contacts will use the same operating system, potentially causing issues.

Bump is available on various phone platforms, eliminating many of the headaches and concerns.

Cross-App

The technology used in Bump is also appearing in other apps available in the marketplace. One such integration has used the capabilities to trigger a similar sharing method, however this time it is to initiate money transfers.

So the app itself isn’t the end of the story and in fact the technology is also valuable in other instances.
